BRUCIO’S FAVE PUNK SONG LIST

In no particular order – how punk is that?

Demics – “New York City”
Diodes – “Tennis again”
The Clash – “Safe European Home”
Pointed Sticks – “Lies”
The Cramps – “Garbageman”
The Vibrators – “Keep it Clean”
The Nerves – “Hangin’ by the Telephone”
The Users – “Sick of You” (mostly because it was my ‘first’)
Sex Pistols – “God Save the Queen” (my second)
The Damned – “Smash It Up”
Generation X – “Your Generation”
The Young Canadians – “Let’s go to Fuckin’ Hawaii”
Buzzcocks – “You Say You Don’t Love Me”
Ramones – “Beat on the Brat” (and every other song)
The Dils – “Sound of the Rain”
The Ugly – “(Standing) in the Lane-way of Love”
Young Canadians – “I Hate Music”
The Modern Minds – “20 Years Old” (when I first heard it, I thought I would never be)
Teenage Head – “Picture My Face”
The Stooges – “Search and Destroy”
The Troggs – “Wild Thing”
New York Dolls – “Pills”
MC5 – “Kick Out the Jams”
Velvet Underground – “Rock and Roll”
Sham 69 – “That’s Life”
Slits – “Typical Girls”
The Rock and Roll Bitches (Canadian) – “The Welder Song”
The Undertones – “I Know a Girl”
The Moderenettes – “Teen City”

*I realize this is highly personal and my tastes lean more melodic than speed metal. Also some bands I just couldn’t put on even though I love them (like The Jam, Television, The Reziillos) because they lean too far in some way. Others are on, just because I cut my teeth on them. I am ready to be cross-examined if it pleases the punk court.
